A 30 year old woman was arrested by police for drug possession just hours before she was due to give birth in Pafos. The Cypriot, who is well known to police for drug related activities, was observed receiving 8 grams of cannabis at midnight.
She was arrested after members of the drug squad stopped and searched her car. During searches at the drug exchange location they also found 11 grams of cocaine, 28 grams of cannabis, 7 ecstasy pills and one digital weight scale.
The 30 year old woman was arrested but when it was established that she was scheduled to give birth on that day she was taken to a clinic after she was charged in writing.
