Post Service fined €100,000 for failure to deliver mail

The Cyprus’ Postal Authority has been fined 100,000 euros by the Office of Electronic Communications and Postal Regulations, an announcement said on Thursday.  
The fine was issued in regards to mail that was lost during October 2016.
According to the announcement the Office decided on Thursday that Cyprus’ Postal Authority violated its legal duties and the protection of privacy of the postal authority and individual privacy.
The Office has also said that the Postal Authority violated measures to ensure national security and rights of citizens to receive their mail.
