A 46-year-old man has been arrested on child pornography charges, accused of using social media to lure a minor for sexual exploitation.
The man had been chatting with an underage girl on Facebook and sent a number of voice messages, asking her to send him photos of her in the nude, according to police.
One phone was found on the suspect and two more in his vehicle, all of which were being examined by the Cyber Crime unit, who did not name the location of the incident but told the Cyprus Weekly they consider this a “very serious crime”.
A remand hearing for the suspect was scheduled for Sunday.
