A wildfire burning in a forested area near the villages of Anarita and Ayia Varvara in Paphos has been brought under control announced Fire Services spokesman, Andreas Kettis on Tuesday afternoon.
Eight fire trucks remain on the scene and firefighters are battling the blaze which has destroyed at least 5 hectares of forest.
Orders were n given to initiate aerial water drops in an attempt to contain the fire.
