The End of Summer Beach Party, a two day festival, will take place in Paphos this weekend, September 24 and 25, at Mandria Beach.
Organisers of the two-day dog friendly, rock music festival are hoping to establish it as a main annual event for the island.Tickets are available online, under 12’s are free and there will also be free camping.
Nine live bands will take to the stage, including Minus One, who will headline on Saturday night and the Max Aloisi Trio will headline on Sunday, organisers told Pafos Press.
Market stalls and food trucks will sell all sorts of items including, hot food, ice cream, coffee and soft drinks.Bars will also offer all of your favourite tipples and even draft Prosecco and Aperol.
Anthony Ballard, BFBS Presenter, will kick the event off at 12.30 midday on Saturday. Then the music will get underway with, ‘The Elderly Brothers’. The line up also includes :Kevin Abraham, Too Hot For Red, Marios Danos and the Dizzy Bees,Minus One and a big screen outdoor movie.
On Sunday at 12 noon, Stefanos Georgiadis Loop Station Project will perform, followed by The Real Thing, Jamie Paul and the Max Aloisi Trio
Event organisers, Julie Price and Sarah Linley have a vision to create, “the best music event experiences in Cyprus”. Julie is a singer and Sarah used to work for a record label.
“We are also both bikers and met a few years ago when we formed The Island Angels, an all women motorcycle club. Since then, we’ve helped and organised many events, including the Mandria FEST in May, a 12-hour music event where we helped raise in excess of €5000 for charity.
The pair said they wanted to create a ‘proper’ music festival with 2 days of music, reasonable priced food and drink and free camping, something you could come and stay at and enjoy for the entire weekend, a destination event.
