Arson at Peyia pub

A fire that broke out in a Peyia pub at 6:50am has been attributed to an act of arson according to police investigative reports.

The pub, located on Coral Bay Avenue, is owned by a 49-year old resident of the Paphos District.

The flames were put out after police and the fire fighting service arrived at the scene of the crime. In addition to arson, the police found signs of breaking and entering.

Extensive damage was done to the pub, the cost of which has not yet been estimated. The Peyia police department is continuing the investigation.
