Η κακοκαιρία των τελευταίων ημερών φαίνεται πως δυσκόλεψε λίγο την κατάσταση για τους υπέροχους Γερανούς που μεταναστεύουν αυτές τις μέρες.
Όπως αναφέρει η σελίδα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης BirdLife Cyprus αυτό είχε ως αποτέλεσμα, χιλιάδες πουλιά να διακόψουν το ταξίδι τους για να ξεκουραστούν και να τραφούν σε διάφορες περιοχές στο νησί μας, όπως οι Αλυκές Ακρωτηρίου και Λάρνακας και τα Κούκλια, μέχρις ότου καθαρίσουν οι ουρανοί.
Emergency landing in Cyprus! 🛬 The bad weather of the last few days made things a tad difficult for the migrating Common Cranes. As a result, thousands of these wonderfully elegant birds have had to put a pause to their long journey here in Cyprus, gathering at key locations around the island such as Akrotiri and Larnaka Salt Lakes and Kouklia Wetlands to rest and feed while they wait for clear skies ahead. Keep your ears open for their unceasing “krou-krou-krou” call as they fly overhead – usually one of the first signs of their presence.
